Ingredients we trust
We believe good skincare does not need to be complicated. Alongside tallow, we use a small number of carefully chosen ingredients that help improve texture, support the skin barrier, calm irritation, and make our balms a pleasure to use.
Nothing unnecessary. Just ingredients we trust on our own family's skin.
Jojoba Oil
We use jojoba oil because it helps make our balms softer, easier to spread, and more comfortable on the skin.
Jojoba oil closely resembles the skin's natural oils, which makes it especially compatible with the skin. It helps support moisture, softens dry areas, and gives a lighter skin feel without making the balm feel overly greasy.
Balance, softness, spreadability.
Beeswax
We use beeswax to give our balms structure and to help create a protective layer on the skin.
Beeswax helps lock in moisture and protect dry or vulnerable skin without feeling completely occlusive. It also improves the stability of a balm, helping it stay consistent and dependable in the jar.
Protection, texture, barrier support.
Vitamin E
We use vitamin E to help protect the oils in our formulas and support overall skin comfort.
Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant. In a balm, it helps keep oils fresher for longer and also brings soothing skin benefits, especially for dry or stressed skin.
Antioxidant support, formula protection, skin comfort.
Calendula Infused Oil
We use calendula infused oil in formulas designed for dry, delicate, or irritated skin.
Calendula has a long history in traditional skincare and is widely valued for its calming and skin-soothing properties. It is especially well suited to products intended to support sensitive or compromised skin.
Soothing, calming, gentle skin support.
Colloidal Oatmeal
We use colloidal oatmeal in barrier-focused products to help calm skin that feels dry, itchy, or irritated.
Colloidal oatmeal is well known for supporting the skin barrier and reducing discomfort associated with dryness. It is one of the most trusted ingredients for sensitive and eczema-prone skin.
Soothing, barrier support, itch relief.
Rosehip Oil
We use rosehip oil in selected products where we want a lighter, more restorative finish.
Rosehip oil is rich in essential fatty acids and is often used to support skin softness, smoothness, and overall skin condition. It helps add a more refined skin feel to facial products.
Skin softness, nourishment, facial care.
Cocoa Butter
When used, cocoa butter helps create a richer, creamier balm texture.
Cocoa butter is deeply conditioning and helps soften dry skin while adding body to a formula. It can make a balm feel more luxurious and comforting on application.
Richness, softness, texture.
Essential Oils
We use essential oils in selected products to add a natural scent and, in some cases, support the overall feel and purpose of the formula.
Different oils bring different qualities. Some are grounding, some soothing, and some simply help create a product experience that feels calm and considered. We use essential oils carefully and keep fragrance-free products fragrance free where gentleness matters most.
Scent, atmosphere, product character.
Why we keep it simple
At Alfeo, we are not interested in filling jars with ingredients for the sake of it.
We choose each ingredient for a reason: to nourish the skin, improve the feel of the formula, or support a specific skin need. That is why our products stay simple, thoughtful, and made with care.
